Job description

Our federal government client is seeking an APS4 Compliance Officer for a 12-month contract, based in Canberra, Sydney or Brisbane.
  
Key Duties/Deliverables
  • Conduct Manual Payment Review compliance reviews, inclusive of requesting and evaluating evidence from providers under MPR using the approved standardised checklist
  • Conduct Compensation Invoice Compliance reviews under an approved workplan, including examination of medical reports and requests for medical information.
  • Analyse and interpret data and review outcomes against relevant legislation, policy, guidelines, and business rules to make informed decisions.
  • Document decisions with clarity and accuracy, providing detailed rationale and ensuring completeness of evidence.
Key Skills and Capabilities
  • Engage respectfully with internal and external stakeholders to collect information, clarify issues, and communicate review outcomes.
  • Facilitate resolution of conflicts and manage difficult conversations with professionalism and discretion.
  • Provide assistance on escalated cases and Ministerial enquiries, escalating priority claims appropriately.
  • Maintain accurate records in accordance with records management policies and procedures.
  • Update registers, trackers, and systems following compliance activities, ensuring confidentiality and integrity throughout.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
Key Requirements
  • You must be an Australian citizen with the ability to obtain a baseline security clearance.
You can be based in Canberra, Sydney or Brisbane and they offer flexible hybrid working with 2-3 days in the office each week.
