We are seeking an exceptional technology leader to establish and lead an enterprise AI adoption capability while driving architecture strategy across a complex, mission-driven organisation. This newly created executive leadership role offers the opportunity to influence how artificial intelligence is safely, ethically and effectively integrated into critical digital services within the health and technology industry.
Reporting to the General Manager of Technology, you will lead the Solutions Architecture function while building AI governance, capability and adoption from the ground up. You'll work across executive leadership, engineering, operations and business teams to develop the frameworks, standards and roadmap that enable responsible AI innovation at enterprise scale.

Key responsibilities
- Lead the enterprise AI adoption strategy, translating organisational priorities into technology delivery plans and capability roadmaps.
- Build and govern the organisation's AI use-case pipeline, identifying high-value opportunities across engineering, operations, security and platforms.
- Establish AI governance frameworks covering readiness, evaluation, ethical use, risk management and regulatory compliance.
- Design the architecture for next-generation AI capabilities, including agentic AI systems and intelligent automation.
- Lead the Solutions Architecture team and define enterprise architecture standards, principles and technology roadmaps.
- Partner closely with Engineering leadership to develop an AI-augmented engineering operating model that enhances productivity while maintaining quality and technical excellence.
- Evaluate AI platforms, technologies and vendor solutions, ensuring scalable, secure and sustainable integration.
- Drive organisational capability uplift by fostering a culture of responsible innovation, architectural excellence and continuous learning.
You are an experienced technology executive with a passion for emerging technologies and a proven ability to lead enterprise transformation.
We are keen to speak to candidates who can demonstrate the following knowledge and experience;
- Extensive senior leadership experience in enterprise architecture, AI strategy or technology innovation within the healthcare or broader health sector.
- Demonstrated success establishing architecture governance and leading high-performing architecture teams in complex enterprise environments.
- Strong experience developing AI strategies, governance frameworks and responsible AI practices.
- Deep technical expertise across enterprise architecture, cloud technologies and AI/ML platforms.
- Experience influencing executive stakeholders and driving change across large organisations.
- The ability to balance innovation with governance, risk management and operational excellence.
- Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes.
- Government-funded, public sector or not-for-profit environments.
- Digital health, virtual care or health technology platforms.
- Enterprise transformation programs.
- AI, machine learning or enterprise architecture certifications.
- Industry thought leadership or contributions to AI and enterprise architecture communities.
