Our federal government client is seeking an APS6 Senior Compliance Officer for a 12-month contract, based in Brisbane or Melbourne.
  
Key Duties/Deliverables

• Lead, coordinate and manage complex debt recovery actions.
• Conduct and report on debt recovery actions to ensure compliance with legislation, policy and Commonwealth standards.
• Manage debt recovery processes including intelligence products and stakeholder communication and negotiation.
• Apply legislation, policies, procedures and compliance tools to complex matters requiring interpretation and analysis.
• Liaise with key stakeholders including debtors, internal and external stakeholders, legal practitioners, clients and other partner agencies.
• Prepare clear and concise advice to support decision‑making and compliance outcomes centred around recovery activities.
• Identify and implement improved work practices and control enhancements.

Key Requirements

• Experience working within government
• Knowledge of relevant key legislation and policy
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills
• You must be an Australian citizen with the ability to obtain a baseline security clearance.

You can be located in Brisbane or Melbourne, and they offer flexible hybrid working arrangements, with 2-3 days in the office each week.
