Job description
Pinpoint Talent is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager for our Defence client delivering a next-generation Amphibious Vehicle Logistics capability. This contract role commences February 2026 and supports a critical acquisition program transitioning from prototype and test into full production, with likely continuation beyond the initial term.
Contract until 30 June 2026 + further 1 year extension(s) | Canberra ACT | NV1 required
In this role, you will lead and manage engineering activities across the prototype, testing, design, and build phases of the capability. Acting under delegated technical authority, you will be responsible for ensuring engineering outcomes meet contractual, certification, and Defence safety requirements while coordinating inputs from internal technical stakeholders and industry partners.
The Engineering Manager will be accountable for developing and maintaining engineering strategies, plans, schedules, and estimates, leading engineering teams through formal design and system reviews, supporting assurance and certification activities, and maintaining robust engineering records to support governance and audit requirements.
An NV1 clearance or above is mandatory.
Proven experience managing engineering aspects of Defence acquisition projects, including leading teams and exercising engineering delegations within the Land or Maritime domain, is essential. Experience with Integrated Logistics Support within acquisition programs is desirable.
