Job description
Pinpoint Talent is partnering with a Defence client to source an experienced Engineering Manager to support a major maritime acquisition program delivering new Landing Craft Medium capability.
Contract until 30 June 2026 + further 1 year extension(s) | Canberra ACT | NV1 required
This role will lead and manage engineering and Integrated Logistics Support activities across the design and build phase of a new class of landing craft. Acting on behalf of the Project Director, you will exercise delegated technical authority, coordinate engineering inputs across multiple stakeholders, and ensure contractual engineering outcomes are achieved in line with Defence requirements, Australian and international standards, and industry best practice.
The position requires a senior engineering professional with demonstrated experience in Defence acquisition environments, capable of leading engineering teams, managing formal design reviews, supporting certification and assurance activities, and maintaining engineering strategies, schedules, and technical documentation. You will work closely with internal Defence stakeholders and shipbuilding partners to ensure quality, safety, and delivery objectives are met.
An NV1 clearance or above is essential.
Exposure to Integrated Logistics Support within acquisition programs will be highly regarded.
This role is Canberra-based and suited to candidates with strong Defence maritime or complex acquisition backgrounds seeking a high-impact contract engagement.
