Job description
We are seeking a Financial Analyst to join our federal government client on an initial 6-month contract, working in partnership with internal resources to contribute to the extension process of IT managed service contracts.
You will leverage your prior knowledge, experience, insight and resources to direct a commercial extension strategy, ensuring compliance with Government/procurement policies and processes, including Whole of Government (WoAG) procurement obligations. You must have extensive experience and detailed understanding of the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPR’s) and work with existing templates and initial models along with incumbent vendors to ensure value for money.

This role can be based in Canberra or Melbourne with hybrid working arrangements.

- Deliver high-quality financial analysis and pricing strategies to support contract negotiations and ensure models are aligned with strategic objectives.
- Provide specific pricing intelligence and benchmarking analysis to support negotiations.
- Ensure pricing proposals comply, and are aligned with, internal policies and strategies.
- Present pricing and financial insights to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
- Analyse historical Service Provider performance against pricing strategies and recommend adjustments.
Essential skills and experience;
- Knowledge and experience in government procurement and associated Commonwealth guidelines and policies integral – CPR’s and WoAG.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with experience in pricing analysis and cost modelling.
