Job description
Pinpoint Talent's Federal Government client is seeking an experienced Fraud Investigator to join a high-performing investigations team. This role will see you contribute to the integrity of public administration by leading and supporting complex internal and external investigations into fraud, corruption, and Public Interest Disclosures (PID).

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct fraud and corruption investigations in accordance with Commonwealth legislation.
- Undertake investigations under the Public Interest Disclosure Act, ensuring compliance with Ombudsman requirements.
- Analyse and assess evidence, prepare comprehensive briefs of evidence, and draft formal reports to support decision making.
- Conduct interviews and obtain witness statements in line with legislative and procedural frameworks.
- Liaise with external stakeholders, including the Australian Federal Police, National Anti-Corruption Commission, and the Commonwealth Ombudsman.
- Support litigation proceedings as required and provide effective representation on behalf of the department.
- Assist in the development and enhancement of investigative tools, templates, processes, and procedures.
- Certificate IV in Government (Investigations) or an equivalent qualification.
- Current Baseline security clearance with the ability to obtain NV1.
- Proven experience in managing and conducting formal fraud investigations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt in dynamic environments.
- Well-developed stakeholder engagement and risk assessment skills.
