Pinpoint Talent’s federal government defence client is seeking an experienced Systems Integration Specialist to lead and define the integration scope for a major Defence–Aviation capability within the Acquisition and Sustainment phases. This role will play a key part in aligning program outcomes with portfolio objectives and stakeholder expectations across Defence environments.

About the Role:
You will be responsible for defining system integration boundaries, interfaces, and dependencies, reviewing key program artefacts, conducting gap analyses, and mapping integration tasks to program milestones. The position will involve close collaboration with Joint Program Teams, Defence stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure clarity of roles, alignment of artefacts, and effective delivery of integration outcomes.
The successful candidate will have strong experience managing or delivering within the ASDEFCON framework, a sound understanding of Defence acquisition processes, and a background in Defence aerospace or complex mission systems integration. You will lead stakeholder workshops, produce integration definition and assessment reports, and provide recommendations to guide the delivery of mission and support systems across their life cycle.

Key Requirements
Melbourne based with the ability to work closely with Defence personnel
Minimum five years’ experience in systems integration within Defence or Aerospace programs
Experience managing or delivering ASDEFCON suite of contracts
Understanding of Defence stakeholders, including CASG and Capability Managers
Strong background in integration planning, verification, validation, and acceptance activities
