Job description
Pinpoint Talent is seeking an experienced procurement and assurance professional to deliver strategic alignment and second-line assurance across procurement and grants processes for our Federal Government client.
Canberra | NV1 clearance mandatory | 6-month contract
This role involves reviewing existing procurement and grants policies alongside workflow tools, analysing internal audit recommendations, and identifying areas for improvement. You will propose practical changes to policies and workflows to address audit findings and ensure consistency, and undertake second-line assurance reviews of a sample of procurements, contract management activities, and grants processes. Your work will include preparing observations, drafting feedback to line areas, and summarising findings in reports with actionable recommendations.

Key responsibilities:
- Review procurement and grants policies and workflows to ensure alignment with internal audit recommendations
- Identify gaps and opportunities for improvement
- Propose practical changes to policies and workflows to address audit findings
- Conduct second-line assurance reviews of procurements, contract management activities, and grants processes
- Draft feedback to line areas outlining observations from assurance reviews
- Prepare summary reports detailing findings and actionable recommendations
- Minimum of two years’ experience in Commonwealth procurement
- Excellent written communication skills
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities
- Attention to detail and ability to communicate complex information clearly
- Confidence working independently and managing priorities
- Experience with Commonwealth grants processes
- Certificate IV in Procurement and Contracting (PSP40616)
