Job description

Pinpoint Talent is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of strategic initiatives within a major Federal Government healthcare project. This role plays a key part in supporting national health outcomes through improved medication safety, aligned with Commonwealth Government strategies.

Sydney/Brisbane/Canberra
12 month contract with a further extension term
Australian Citizenship required

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage all phases of project delivery including planning, scheduling, risk management, budgeting, stakeholder engagement, and reporting.
  • Ensure alignment of project deliverables with organisational and program outcomes.
  • Develop project benefits realisation plans, including measurable outputs, change adoption activities, and reporting metrics.
  • Define work packages and oversee the contributions of technical teams, communications, and stakeholder specialists.
  • Maintain detailed risk and issue registers and oversee governance frameworks to support project oversight and assurance.
  • Drive procurement and contract activities in accordance with government procurement standards.
  • Prepare high-quality documentation including executive briefs, reports, and presentations.
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders and support development of external communications in partnership with media and communications teams.
  • Provide expert project management advice and support broader organisational initiatives where required.
Essential Criteria:
  • Australian Citizenship is required
  • Proven track record in end-to-end project management within complex environments.
  • Certification in project management methodologies (e.g. PRINCE2, Agile) either attained or in progress.
  • Demonstrated understanding of public sector procurement practices.
  • Experience working in Government or Healthcare environments
