We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join on a contract with a Federal Government client to deliver on a major Defence capability program – designed to equip the client with an integrated, cyber-hardened ICT environment that supports both operational and administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver detailed engineering plans and documentation for specific platforms
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with Defence stakeholders
• Support Installation Managers in aligning engineering deliverables to platform deployment schedules
• Identify and manage engineering risks, issues and opportunities for maritime systems
• Provide strategic and professional engineering advice, including cost analysis and contractor assessment
• Support governance through engineering control processes, documentation and reporting

Essential Criteria

• NV1 Security Clearance
• Demonstrated experience in Defence systems engineering, particularly in Naval or maritime projects
• Familiarity with Navy engineering processes (e.g. AD514) and Defence Capability Lifecycle
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to manage complex technical relationships
