Job description
Fully funded Naval program is doing a critical upgrade initiative for a Naval platform. This phase enhances combat systems, ensuring these vessels remain at the cutting edge of modern warfare while maintaining seamless interoperability with allied forces.
Key upgrades include:
Integration of Combat System – Improving combat lethality and ballistic missile defence capabilities.
Weapon System Integration – Extending strike range and operational versatility.
Combat Information Centre (CIC) Enhancements – Introducing a 3D virtual environment for improved combat system visualization.
About the Role As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting the integration of these advanced naval combat systems. This role requires expertise in integration planning, requirement derivation, threat analysis, and stakeholder collaboration, ensuring compliance with defence standards and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Engage with engineering, design, and integration authorities to drive project success.
Provide subject matter expertise to support co-design activities and interoperability standards.
Manage and support the collation of engineering standards across various technical domains.
Continuously improve engineering standards and processes.
Contribute to the preparation and presentation of technical submissions to senior committees.
Prepare written briefs to support project assurance activities.
What You Need to Succeed
Security Clearance: NV1 minimum
Expertise in engineering design and processes, particularly in undersea warfare, command & control (C2), and electromagnetic manoeuvre warfare.
Familiarity with defence force operations and warfighting activities.
Proficiency in architectural processes & systems thinking, particularly Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
Tertiary qualifications in engineering, computer science, informatics, information science, or cybernetics are highly desirable.
