Job description

Pinpoint Talent’s Defence client is seeking an experienced Test & Evaluation (T&E) Manager to lead and manage all aspects of test and evaluation for the DEF2222 capability program. 

Canberra | 1 year contract + extension | NV1 clearance required

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing the DEF2222 Test & Evaluation Master Plan, coordinating developmental and acceptance testing, and ensuring alignment of T&E activities with capability development milestones and acquisition phases. You will provide leadership, mentoring, and independent reviews of T&E practices, liaising with Delivery Managers, Capability Managers, engineering teams, ICT Security Certification and Accreditation, Integrated Logistics Support, and configuration management to support program objectives.

Key responsibilities include planning and coordinating all T&E activities, preparing and managing test plans, procedures, and reports including Requirement Traceability Matrices, supporting Test Environment Working Groups and Configuration Control Boards, and providing evaluation summaries and recommendations for capability release or remediation. The role requires ensuring compliance with all relevant standards, safety regulations, and certification requirements while maintaining traceability between test activities and system requirements.

Applicants must have a minimum NV1 security clearance and hold qualifications in engineering or computer science, with demonstrated experience in software and hardware testing and evaluation. The role requires strong leadership, the ability to work under broad direction, and proven experience managing complex ICT test and evaluation programs to high standards.
