Job description

We are seeking a Vendor Management & Commercial Officer to join our client on an initial 6-month contract.
  
In this role you will support a global provider of investigative analytics and intelligence software, providing vendor and commercial services within a digital environment. You will be responsible for supporting the Program Director for all elements of the Program as pertains to 3rd party vendors and their commercial agreements, ensuring vendor adherence to all regulatory requirements, internal policies, and data security standards, continuously monitoring, tracking and measuring vendor performance.
  
We are seeking a candidate who can design and operationalise a vendor governance/structure framework, overseeing the entire vendor lifecycle, from selection and onboarding to contract renewal and eventual off boarding, along with drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, including Master Service Agreements (MSAs) and Statements of Work (SOWs), and clear Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), intellectual property rights, and termination clauses.
  
To be successful you must have the following skills and experience;
  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 3+ years of experience in procurement or contract management, ideally with certifications like CPSM
  • Experience working in large/complex multi-phased technology programs
  • Deep expertise in Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM), financial acumen (TCO, budgeting, governance), and sophisticated negotiation and sourcing strategies as pertains to external IT 3rd party suppliers
  • Strong experience with vendor performance and risk management (SLAs, KPIs), strategic thinking, and strong proficiency with related vendor management processes and tools
  • Excellent communication and the ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with both internal stakeholders and external vendors, ensuring commercial agreements consistently deliver business value
This role is based in North Sydney and requires a minimum of 3 days per week in the office.
